Overview

Talarion is a knowledge base of verified, dated facts about what’s recently happened in the world. Its core is a single capability — research_brief — which takes a search question and surfaces the high-surprisal misconceptions an LLM would otherwise operate under: recent developments past training cutoffs, the things an agent wouldn’t know to check. Each fact is a question and answer, stamped with the date it was known true and the source URLs it’s drawn from.

It’s good for anything recency-dependent — news, markets, policy, releases, tooling, statuses that flip. It’s not for timeless questions, where nothing has changed recently, or pinpoint lookups you’d give to traditional web search. A response is never empty; a question returns the nearest available facts.

There are two ways to use it.

For how sign-in and API keys work across both paths, see Authentication.
